When worry fills your mind and rest will not come, bring each anxious thought to God in prayer.
Father God, my mind will not be still. It races from one fear to the next, building disasters that haven’t happened yet and replaying conversations that already passed, until my chest tightens and my breath grows shallow. I am overwhelmed by thoughts I cannot stop, and I need You to reach down and pull me out.
You know what’s keeping me up at night. You know the fears I can’t even put into words, the ones that sit heavy in my stomach and follow me through the day. You know how exhausting it is to carry this weight and to keep saying “I’m fine” when inside everything feels like it’s falling apart.
Lord, Your Word says to be anxious for nothing, and I confess that right now I am anxious about everything. You did not give those words to shame me. You gave them as an invitation. So here I am, casting each worry at Your feet. Take them, Lord. I don’t want to carry them anymore.
I bring You the worry about my family and the fear about my future. I bring You the dread I feel when I wake up and the restlessness that steals my sleep. I bring You the panic that comes without warning and the low hum of unease that never fully goes away. I lay all of it before You.
Now fill that space with Your peace, the peace that passes all understanding, which the world cannot give and cannot take away. Guard my heart and guard my mind. Stand between me and the lie that everything depends on me and that if I stop worrying, things will fall apart.
You are the God who holds the oceans in Your hand. You hung the stars and called them each by name. You are not worried about tomorrow, and You are asking me to trust You with mine. Help me trust You, not with perfect faith, but with the faith of a child who knows their Father’s hand is strong enough to hold them.
Replace my fear with Your presence and my racing thoughts with Your still, small voice. Let me hear You say, “Be still and know that I am God,” and let that be enough.
In the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, I pray.
Amen.

Psalm 46:10Guidance
Step away from the noise. Close your eyes and take three slow breaths. Invite God into this moment before you begin.
Pray in your own voice and take your time. Pause on the lines that name what you are carrying.
Name your specific anxieties out loud. Tell God exactly what is weighing on you. He already knows, and He invites you to say it.
Anxiety keeps returning, so keep returning to God. Pray this each morning before the worries of the day take hold.
