Who We Are

About Freedom Through Prayer

We are a fellowship of believers who pray. When a request reaches us, we bring the person who wrote it before God by name, and we do the same for the families who love them.

Our Story

A fellowship built on prayer

Freedom Through Prayer began quietly, among friends, when someone we loved was hurting and we started praying for him by name. We have kept praying that way ever since.

We are a small fellowship of believers from different churches. What unites us is a shared conviction that God hears prayer, and that no one should carry a heavy season alone.

Requests reach us through the form on this site and arrive in a private inbox. A real person reads each one. We take the time to learn the name attached to it, and then we pray over it by name.

We are not a replacement for professional counseling, medical care, or recovery programs. We believe in all of those things. We also believe prayer does a work of its own, and that when believers agree together, God hears and answers. “Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them” (Matthew 18:20).

If you are reading this and you need prayer, write to us. We will read what you send, and we will pray.

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

James 5:16

The Fellowship

From all walks of life

We keep our fellowship out of public view on purpose. The people who pray here do not do it for recognition, and the people we pray for deserve to have their requests held in confidence. Within the fellowship we share first names only. Each request is read by a real person and prayed over by name.

What We Believe

Our statement of faith

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. It is our final authority in all matters of faith and life.

The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are equal in power and glory.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, crucified for our sins, risen from the dead, and coming again. He is the only way to salvation.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit lives inside each believer. He enables us to live holy lives, to pray in faith, and to overcome what we could not overcome alone.

The Power of Prayer

We believe prayer changes things. It does so not because of our own righteousness, but because we serve a God who hears, who cares, and who acts. When believers agree together in prayer, God answers.

Freedom in Christ

We believe that Christ sets people free, and that the final word over any struggle belongs to God. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36).

Our Promise

What you can always count on

We ask nothing of you

There is no obligation and nothing for sale here. Prayer is what we do, and we offer it the way the church always has. If you need someone to pray for you, we are here.

🔒

Held in confidence

Your request arrives in a private inbox and stays between you, our fellowship, and God. Within the fellowship we share first names only, and nothing you write goes anywhere else.

There is no stop date

We do not put an end date on prayer. Your name stays before God for as long as it takes, and you are welcome to write to us again at any time.

Take the Next Step

You don't have to carry this alone

Whether you need prayer for yourself or for someone you love, write to us. A real person will read what you send.
